What this page covers

This page describes how the practice handles information collected through this website and how protected health information is used and disclosed in treatment. It is a placeholder pending review by the practice's own counsel and should be replaced before launch.

Information collected on this website

If you send a message or request a consult, the details you type are stored so I can reply. That includes your name, contact details and anything you choose to write. Please keep clinical detail out of it — a web form is convenient, not confidential.

The site does not run advertising trackers and does not sell or share your information with third parties for marketing.

Enquiries are not clinical records

An enquiry is a marketing record. It becomes part of a clinical record only if you go on to become a client, and only with your consent.

Notifications

Appointment reminders and portal notifications never contain clinical content. They tell you that something is waiting and ask you to sign in.

Confidentiality and its limits

What you say in session is confidential, with the exceptions the law requires: risk of serious harm to yourself or another person, suspected abuse or neglect of a child, elder or dependent adult, and court orders.

Your rights

You may request access to your record, ask for corrections, ask for an accounting of disclosures, and request restrictions on how information is used. Ask and I'll explain the process in plain terms.
