Insurance
This is a self-pay practice. I'm out of network with all insurers, which keeps your record out of their hands and keeps the treatment plan between us. A superbill is provided monthly on request, which many plans reimburse against out-of-network benefits. Ask your insurer what they pay for CPT 90837 with an out-of-network provider.
Reduced fee
Reduced-fee slots are currently full. Ask anyway; they turn over, and I keep a short list.
Your right to a good faith estimateQuestions people ask before booking
- Will I have to describe everything that happened?
- No. EMDR needs a target, not a narrative. Many people work through a memory without ever telling me the details of it.
- Does reprocessing start straight away?
- No. We build stability first. How long that takes depends on you, and you will know before we begin.
- Does it work over video?
- Yes. Bilateral stimulation adapts well to telehealth, and I'll only work virtually with you if I judge it safe to.
- What if I get overwhelmed in a session?
- We plan for that before it happens. You have containment tools, we work in short sets, and every session closes deliberately.
- How many sessions will this take?
- Single-incident trauma is often shorter than people expect. Complex trauma takes longer. I'll give you a realistic range after assessment, not before.
- What about cancellations?
- Please give at least 24 hours' notice. Later than that and the session is charged in full, because the hour was held for you.
Still not sure which one you need?
That's what the free consult is for. We'll work it out in fifteen minutes.
